Catholic Prison
Ministries Coalition

Thank you for joining us in our mission to promote ministry to all those affected by incarceration.  To do this, we must educate and direct our brothers and sisters, both seeking ministry and seeking to minister, to the right resources.

We need your help

"I was in prison and you came to visit me … I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”

Matthew 25: 36,40

Dear brothers and sisters,

We are in the process of creating a website to serve as a national resource.  We hope to include the latest education and training, along with how to advocate for change.

A key function of the website will be to enable networking and promote all our ministries.

We need your help

Please fill out the Partner information which will be visible on our website.  We want people to be able to find you! This needed information will enable people to SEARCH using multiple criteria.

We are also asking you to invite all of your associates, affiliates and collaborative organizations who provide ministry to those affected by incarceration on a local level to fill out their designated form below.  Our hope is to provide a “yelp” style “go to” resource for Church ministries in the United States. The website will be up and functioning by the end of the summer.  Please fill this out now and send it to all of your affiliates and partners – so we can launch this project with the most complete information possible.

Thank you for assisting us in accomplishing our mission,

– CPMC Executive Committee

our mission

The Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition (CPMC) promotes Catholic ministry to all those affected by incarceration. Our goal is to recruit, train, support and empower those called to minister with the poor and marginalized.  We hope to create a more just and merciful criminal justice system closely aligned with the ministry of the Church and the teachings and example of Pope Francis.

  • We aim to create a more just and merciful society through advocacy on the local, state, & national levels.
  • We aim to educate, equip, and accompany all those involved in prison ministry.
  • We aim to create a national website to connect ministry leaders, those seeking assistance, and those involved in advocacy.

“We, too, must be servants. It is true that in life there are problems; we argue among ourselves, but this must be something that passes, a passing phase. In our hearts, there must always be this love to serve the other, to be at the service of others.

- Pope Francis
